What do I need to use Timely Tuition?

All you need is a computer and an Internet connection.

How do I accept payments?

Custom invoices are generated for each family, and parents are sent an e-mail payment reminder. Parents login to Timely Tuition to make one-time or recurring payments.

What if I have some parents that don't want to pay online?

No problem. You can convert paper checks into eChecks or record cash payments.

Is Timely Tuition secure?

We process your electronic payments using the highest level of internet security (256-bit encryption) to ensure secure, reliable transactions. During data transfer, we use the same security encryption as typical banking and financial e-commerce web sites. We are also VeriSign secured and PCI DSS compliant, so you may feel confident that your customer information and transaction data is secure.

How much does Timely Tuition cost?

Who pays the transaction fees?

Transaction fees are billed to the child care facility.

How are transaction fees billed?

Monthly fees and transaction fees are automatically withdrawn from your operating account on a pre-designated date. You will receive a statement of your ACH (electronic check) transactions and monthly charges from Timely Tuition 5 business days prior to the withdrawal. A seperate detailed statement of credit and debit card transactions is issued by the payment gateway, ACH Direct.

How often are invoices generated?

Invoices can be automatically generated every week, or every month. You set the Due Date and Send Date.

How long does it take for the funds to be deposited in my account?

Funds are usually deposited the next day for credit card transactions and 3-4 days for E-check funding.

Do I have to store the parent's financial information?

No, parents enter their own financial information. They have the option of saving their funding information online.

Do you have an automatic recurring payment option?

We allow the parent to set up automatic recurring payments and set the Date to debit their account, the Start Date, the Amount, and the End Date. The childcare facility can easily monitor recurring, weekly, and monthly payments in a single report.

Do I have to accept credit cards?

You can choose to accept only electronic check (ACH) payments. A merchant account to accept credit and debit cards is offered at no additional charge. You can customize your account to meet your facility's needs.

What if a payment fails because of Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF)?

If a payment submitted with the Timely Tuition service fails because of Non-Sufficient Funds you will receive a notification of the failed transaction. Timely Tuition will charge a $2 Non-Sufficient Funds fee in the event of a failed NSF transaction.

Can I charge a late fee for late tuition payments?

Yes, with Timely Tuition you specify the Due Date and the fee (if any) to charge for late tuition payments. Late fees are automatically added to the invoice when payment is made after the due date.

Can I have a payment link on my webpage?

Yes, the link will take your parents to a co-branded login page that can be customized with your facility logo.

How do I refund a payment?

If the payment was made with a saved funding account, simply select the 'Reverse' option in the payment details.
